The Llewellyn Old-Fashioned Carnival is an exciting evening for school families and the community. Our goal is a super fun event, where prizes last, decorations are reused, and games are remembered for the joy they bring. We’ll have a ton of interactive games and activities, like sack hops, tug-of-war, bean bag toss, face painting, crazy hair and nails, button making, and lots more!
Kids pay $5 to enter the carnival and they can play as many games as often as they wish. Adults play for free, and they are encouraged to join the kids in the activities and games. As kids play games, they collect ‘prizes’ such as a bubble wand, a moss garden, a cool tattoo, and most importantly, the joy of running a 3-legged race, shooting an arrow, or climbing a rock wall. Also, as kids participate in activities, they get stamps in a ‘passport’ that they can trade in for a 2013 Llewellyn Carnival t-shirt.
Local food vendors will collect cash for food, and they will make sure the entire family is well fed. We’ll also offer treats like cotton candy and frozen yogurt.
The carnival takes place, rain or shine, at Llewellyn Elementary School. We look forward to our end-of-the year celebration, and invite family, friends, and neighbors of all ages to come and join the fun. If you have questions, please visit us online at http://www.llewellyncarnival.com
